New In 2019

Student and Parent Information Evenings

We are pleased to announce that in 2019, TIS will host a series of Student and Parent Information Evenings. TIS information evenings are designed to answer all your questions about what to expect in pursuing further study after high school. We’ll cover a range of topics from the different types of tertiary study available at different institutions, why you should consider completing further study through to pre-requisites and other confusing terminology. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions to our institution representatives as well as current students to get a clearer understanding of what to expect when you finish year 12 as part of the Q&A session. At the conclusion of the presentation you’ll have time to meet one on one with various institutions to talk about courses options and collect any brochures to take home and read.

Audience: TIS information evenings are targeted at students aged 10 – 12, however all high school students are welcome to attend. We encourage parents to come along and discover what is new in higher education and how to support your child through the process of transitioning through to further study.

Times: 6pm – 7.30pm

Presentations will commence sharply at 6pm, running until approximately 6.45pm. The expo supermarket session will commence afterwards concluding at 7.30pm. Please ensure you arrive prior to 6pm to ensure a prompt start.

Format: 45 minute presentation including Q&A with reps and students / 45 Minute expo session

Parent information evenings will run as part of the following TIS events.
